Rainy Day Comfort Food

This rainy Monday afternoon, our office lunch/merienda lady brought over steaming hot champorado. It wan't as chocolaty as I wanted but a P5 plateful of tuyo more than made up for what it lacked in richness. La lang. Cheap thrill for the day.

Here's a movie review that mentions, in passing, "champurrado (a Mexican hot drink)."

P5 for 3 pieces of tuyo :). Parang P10-15 yung champorado ng office manang namin.

Kung jolly jeep, sobrang panalo daw yung malapit sa kanto ng Valero and Sedeno, in front of Pancake House. And may sikat na jolly jeep sisig somewhere in Legaspi Village. Tipong kelangan mong bumili by 11am coz mabilis maubos.

I tried that sisig. It's near the building where AdFarm is on Rada. Had lots of liver so it wasn't up my alley. Spent the better part of lunch picking out the liver bits. But the meaty bits were pretty good. Medyo anghang - just the way I like it.
